Throughout their lifetimes, individuals are exposed to a variety of environmental factors, including chemicals, biological agents, and radiation. The exposome represents the combination of all environmental exposures over a lifetime and their consequences on human health. Because humans are exposed to a complex mixture of environmental factors every day, it is not trivial for scientists to identify compounds that are detrimental for human health. In this webinar brought to you by The Scientist, Lauren Petrick and Vrinda Kalia explain how they apply untargeted metabolomics to determine how external factors such as pesticides and heavy metals affect life on Earth.
